Acne Studios
Swedish fashion house, made in 1996 in Stockholm, by Jonny Johannson and his three colleagues, as a part of bigger Acne collective group. History of it starts with 100 pairs of jeans, which was made and gawe away for free. ACNE name was acronym from phrase "Associated Computer Nerd Enterprises", which later was changed to "Ambition to Create Novel Expressions". ACNE group parts are: Acne Studios, Acne Film, Acne Advertising and Acne Digital. Acne Studio fashion house is member of Fair Wear Foundation, which is organisation, that is working for improving situation of employes of external manufactures, that makes products for FWF members. Also it is on 2021 FHCM list of haute couture fashion houses.
Acne Studios is famous of pistol boots, their denim(Acne Studios Bla Konst denim line), also for very unusuall location of their stores and headquarter. Their Stockholm base is situated in former bank, where in 1973 hostages were taken, and from situation that occurred beetwen attackers and hostages, "Stockholm syndrome" name was taken. Their store in London is in Pelham street in Brompton Cross, which is area more of "yummie mummies" that have style not very similar to Acne Studios fashion, also the store in Paris is in former garage, that was addapted to store.
Brand made lot of collaboration, the most famous names, that were cooperate with swedens was: Lanvin, Mulberry, Fjallraven, Bianchi bicycle, Carl Malmsten, Lord Snowdon, William Wegman, Hilma of Klint, Liberty of London, Jack Pierson, Starter black label, Grant Levy-Lucero and many more.
