Agnes b.
The brand created by one of the most interesting and coolest designers operating in the fashion sector - Agnes Andrée Marguerite Troublé. It is one of my favorite designers, due to its activity in the sphere of art, which is close to me because of my photographic hobby.
Agnes Troublé has a very interesting biography. She was born in Versailles in 1941 and later she graduated from "Ecole du Louvre" in Paris. In the 1960s she worked for Elle. And in that period an abbreviation was created, which became the name of her brand Agnes b.. In 60’s she work as freelancer with few fashion brands like V de V, Limitex, Eversbin, Pierre d’Alby. Later she founded CMC (Comptoir Mondial de Création) brand which was predecessor of her future company. Agnes Troublé's first store, was opened in the old butcher store in Les Halles in Paris in 1975. It was an extraordinary place, because it was not just a shop with her clothing, but also a place where you could listen to music, talk, and in the air birds were flying.
In 1979, she invented the famous "Snap Cardigan", the type of clothing, which became recognizable throughout the full fashion industry, which is one of the brand icons and which is a product to this day considered to be a cult. In 2006, Agnes b. brand cooperated with Veja, and in 2011 with DIM. It is on the list of members of the French FHCM Federation.
The designer is also active in art and culture. She is a collector, she works in the film industry, opened galleries of works of art, also wrote several books and is the president of the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Paris.
In addition to activities in the fashion, culture and art industry, she supports with charity and social activities.
